Teaching Personnel is seeking passionate, confident Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools in Andover, with opportunities available to start ASAP.

This is an excellent stepping‑stone role for anyone looking to progress into teacher training, develop experience working with young people, or take on flexible term‑time work within the education sector.


The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver pre‑planned lessons across Key Stages 3 & 4
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Maintain a calm, purposeful learning environment
  • Support students with additional or special educational needs where required
  • Build strong relationships and encourage positive engagement from learners

This role gives you valuable insight into secondary classrooms, helping you develop the skills needed for a future in teaching or education support.


The Ideal Candidate

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience working or volunteering with young people (schools, mentoring, coaching, tutoring etc.)
  • Confidence in managing groups of secondary‑aged students
  • The ability to support students with SEN / additional needs
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, enthusiastic approach
  • Adaptability, resilience and a genuine passion for supporting young people
