Cover Supervisor – Alton – Immediate Start

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting proactive and confident Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools in Alton, with opportunities available to start ASAP.

This is an ideal role if you’re considering teacher training in the future, want hands‑on classroom experience, or are looking for a flexible job that makes a real impact.


The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver pre‑planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Maintain a positive, focused classroom environment in line with school policies
  • Support students' learning and engagement throughout the school day
  • Provide additional support to learners with Special Educational Needs / additional needs where required
  • Adapt confidently to different subjects and classrooms, ensuring continuity of learning

This role allows you to gain essential classroom management skills and develop experience that is highly valued by teacher training providers and schools across Hampshire.


The Ideal Candidate

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience working with secondary‑aged students (through schools, youth work, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, etc.)
  • Any exposure to supporting students with SEN / additional needs
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • Confidence, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting young people
  • A desire to develop a long‑term career in education

Graduates from all degree backgrounds are encouraged to apply — no formal teaching qualification is required.
