Cover Supervisor – Basingstoke – Immediate Start

Ideal for Graduates, Aspiring Teachers & Unqualified Educators | Full‑Time, Part‑Time & Flexible Roles Available

Are you a recent graduate, aspiring teacher, or someone looking to gain classroom experience before progressing into a long‑term career in education?
Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools in Basingstoke, with roles available for an immediate start.

Whether you’re seeking full‑time, part‑time, or flexible term‑time hours, this role is the perfect opportunity to develop hands‑on teaching experience and build valuable skills for the future.


The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver pre‑planned lessons across Key Stages 3 & 4
  • Maintain a calm, positive and productive classroom environment
  • Follow school behaviour policies and support students to stay engaged
  • Supervise learning across a range of subjects
  • Provide additional support to students with special educational needs or additional needs when required
  • Build strong relationships and act as a positive role model

This role offers an excellent insight into life as a teacher and is a fantastic stepping‑stone towards teacher training or long‑term education roles.


The Ideal Candidate

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience working with young people of secondary school age
  • Confidence managing groups and adapting to different classroom environments
  • The ability to support students with SEN / additional needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, enthusiastic attitude and passion for supporting young people
  • An interest in progressing into teaching or the education sector

Graduates from all degree backgrounds are encouraged to apply — no teaching qualification is required.
