Teaching Assistant – Roman Catholic Primary School in Blackburn – January 2021

The Head Teachers and Governors are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to provide general classroom support in their Year 4 class on a long-term, full-time basis. They are looking to trial suitable TAs from as soon as possible in January in preparation to start Monday 18th January 2021.

-          Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant

-          Roman Catholic primary school in Blackburn

-          Full-time position

-          GBP60 - GBP65 per day

-          Long-term, temporary role

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge?

Are you looking to attain work in a Blackburn with Darwen primary school?

In order to be considered for this role, you must have recent paid experience in a primary school, ideally working in KS2. You must also be proactive, assertive and be able to work well as part of a team. A strong work ethic, enthusiasm and a passion for education are also essential. 

Please note - you do not need to be a practising Catholic to be successful in your application; however, you will be required to promote the Catholic ethos throughout your practice in school. 

This primary school is graded ‘GOOD’ in all areas by Ofsted. It is smaller than the average-size primary school with a high proportion of pupils with special educational needs and a high proportion of pupils are identified as disadvantaged. There is a positive learning culture within the school and a sense of everyone working together for the good of all the pupils. It also offers good support for its staff and values the importance of presenting opportunities for its staff members to progress and advance within the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
