The Headteacher and Governing Body of an over-subscribed Primary School located on the outskirts of Preston (off the A6) are looking to secure a part-time Teacher to deliver interventions to Y5 and Y6 pupils from Monday 2nd November 2020. Ideally the person we are looking for will have prior experience of teaching Y6, be passionate about education and have a flair for working with young people. This role will be two-three days per week to suit the availability of the successful candidate (0.4-0.6). The successful candidate will be joining a community of welcoming and supportive staff. This school can offer a vibrant learning environment which nurtures and supports children encouraging independence and confidence building. This role has cropped up due to the additional funding allocated to Primary Schools as a result of lost learning and school closures. The successful candidate will be expected to track progress and liaise with the school SENCO regarding progression and to identify gaps in learning.

This school also boasts an exciting and engaging curriculum where staff and children work together to ensure high quality learning that enable every pupil to achieve their very best. This position will be 2-3 days per week term time only and the working hours will be 9:00-15:00. Experience of working alongside children within the last 18 months is essential. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or alternatively a class teacher keen to secure a part time role where they can make a genuine difference to the lives of children.

This school holds an excellent reputation within the local community and is over-subscribed. The Headteacher and SLT are well respected by staff, pupils and parents and this position has cropped up due to a staff member retiring. This role is expected to continue for the remainder of the academic year with the potential of a contracted position following a successful probatory period.

If this role sounds of interest – please contact Chloe Gardiner with a copy of your most up to date CV on chloe.gardiner@teachingpersonnel.com.
