We wish to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to our client school to provide support and guidance to students in overcoming barriers to learning. Reporting to the Supervisor of our Alternative Centre for Education (ACE) the post holder will be responsible for supervising and supporting KS1 and KS2 students excluded from, or not working to, a normal timetable.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with children and young people and implementing strategies to support and promote improved behaviour. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, relate well to young people and possess Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent).
You will share our ethos that disadvantage need not be a barrier to academic achievement and success for all. If you are someone who puts students first, and is prepared to go the extra mile for every one of our students, then we want to hear from you.
You must also be in possession of a Child Workforce DBS (registered on the Update Service) or willing to apply for one
