Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Primary School in South Manchester, M22. The Primary School are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil in year 1. The pupil has Autism so the school are looking for someone who is familiar with this kind of work. The role full time and is to begin after the Christmas break in January.
This Roman Catholic School in South Manchester received the rating of "continues to be good" in there most recent Ofsted report earlier this calendar year. The school has undergone a leadership change over the summer as the previous head has left the school to get back into the classroom and become a KS2 Teacher at a different school. The new head has transitioned from another school so is experienced within a headship and is looking to build on the good work that has been done in the school over the last academic year.
The pupil that the successful candidate will be working with is entering year 1 this academic year and has Autism. The pupil has been receiving extra support on a 1:1 basis for the last academic year whilst in Reception. The TA that has been working with the pupils is no longer with the school so the school is looking for someone to be able to come in and hit the ground running with the pupil and make the transition from Reception to KS1 as smooth as possible for the pupil. Someone with previous 1:1 Autism experience is highly sought after from the school, however every child is different and the right personality could massively benefit the Pupil.
