The Head Teacher and governing body of a reputable primary school situated just outside of Blackburn town centre are on the look out to source a dedicated KS1 teaching assistant to support small groups of pupils during lessons, to deliver interventions and general classroom support to the Class Teacher. The working hours for this role are 9:00-13:00 equating to 20 working hours per week paid on a weekly basis directly by Teaching Personnel.
The Head Teacher has expressed that the ideal candidate will have experience supporting children across EYFS and KS1, more specifically working alongside children with SEMH and varying needs. The school are looking for a teaching assistant with a positive attitude, a good sense of humour and who can adapt quickly to suit the needs of each child - the Head Teacher has emphasised that no two days at the school are these same; therefore this is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking for a new and exciting opportunity and to gain further experience in Key Stage 1.
This is a reputable primary school serving a pleasant catchment area with idyllic surroundings. This school is committed to ensuring each child fulfils their full potential and all staff in school are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for their pupils. Their Christian values, which aim to encourage ambition and promote the celebration of achievements, are at the centre of all that they do. The children's positive attitudes to school and their respect for each other are strengths highlighted by Ofsted. Senior Leaders in school are well respected by staff. This role has cropped up due to a recent resignation; therefore there is the potential to transition onto a contract depending on a successful probationary period.
