Exciting opportunity for a Key Stage 1 (year 2) Teaching Assistant, required in Bury (M26)

- £16,000 - £18,000 salary
One of our partner Roman Catholic Schools in Bury are looking for a confident Teaching Assistant to work in Key Stage 1 (year 2). This role is long term position covering a maternity leave starting in December for the rest of the academic year. There is a possibility to go onto a school contract for the right candidate. The role is to support the year 2 class.
The Bury Catholic school, graded "good" by OFSTED framework, is a one and half form entry school. It has a friendly atmosphere and has an extremely supportive staff structure.
The successful candidate would ideally have a Cache Level 3 qualification but would happy to see CVs of teaching assistants with Level 2 with a good amount of experience in Key Stage 1. The school are looking for an enthusiastic practitioner who has a passion for working with children helping raising attainment. They will want to learn how to assess pupils' progress and have high expectations of themselves and the pupils in their care. They would have a good understanding of the national curriculum and be confident in both Maths, English and Phonics.
