About the Job:

Our special school in Twickenham are seeking to appoint Intervention Teachers with SEN teaching experience for a new Year 5 and 6 class opening this September 2020. We are looking for a committed teacher who is capable of inspiring self-confidence in pupils with special needs, parents and staff.

The teaching position is full-time, class based with up to 8 pupils diagnosed with autism, speech and language and social difficulties. The successful intervention teacher will be dedicated to effective teaching and planning for children with SEN (EHCPs) and be confident providing a range of learning and development focused interventions on a 1:1 and small group basis.

You will be a valued part of the school’s expanding primary department, working collaboratively with senior leadership, staff, and therapists. You will a difference every day while managing up to 2 SEN experienced teaching assistants who will support you throughout the day.

About the special school (Richmond):

Our special school is a unique specialist school meeting the needs of children with speech, language and communication difficulties. It is situated in Richmond with two sites in Twickenham, West London for children and young people from the ages of 4 to 19. The school recently opened in 2019 with a secondary department and are looking to complete the expansion of their primary department by September 2021.

The school in Twickenham are seeking a teacher who is:

• QTS, PGCE, Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) qualified
• Experienced planning and teaching pupils with SEN/EHCPs in EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
• Available full-time Monday to Friday (8:30AM-4:00PM) from September 2020
• Confidence working with children with autism, severe learning needs, speech and social difficulties
• An excellent, innovative classroom teacher with a drive for self-improvement and development
