Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to support an inner city Leeds school?

The two form entry school are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant for long term position in a great Primary School in the heart of Leeds. We are specifically looking for Teaching Assistants with a keen interest in the Primary Curriculum who can support children's learning.

This Leeds school are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and forward thinking school. The role is due to commence in Easter 2019 for one term initially, with a key focus on raising attainment across KS1 and KS2. This Teaching Assistant role will involve working on a one to one basis with pupils of varied abilities, as well as small group and whole class activities.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will possess a true passion for education and the ability to follow direction paired with using their own initiative to help deliver stimulating and rewarding interventions. A commitment to academic excellence across the ability range through progressive teaching support and learning styles is required.

What this Teaching Assistant will require:

  • Experience of working with children with high dependency and severe learning disabilities
  • Have empathy, patience and the drive to make a difference
  • Capability to manage confrontation and challenging behaviour or complex learning difficulties
  • An observant and responsive approach
  • A positive, energetic and enthusiastic attitude
  • A current DBS registered with the Update Service or happy to apply for one
