HISTORY TEACHER - SHEFFIELD

Teaching Personnel is currently looking for an enthusiastic and innovative History Teacher, to join a fast paced and improving secondary academy in Sheffield, to start in January 2019. This is a full time, long term role, with the potential of the role continuing into the next academic year, paying up to £150 a day.

We are recruiting on behalf of a large secondary School, which caters for students from 11 -16 years old. The school has recently joined a prestigious academy trust and are driven to achieve 'Good' through being extremely supportive of all staff members. They pride themselves on an induction programme leading to excellent professional development opportunities and are fully committed to the progress of their staff, as well as their students.

This secondary academy are looking for a History Teacher who can deliver lessons across all Key Stages and has excellent behaviour management and sound subject knowledge. You must be a committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout the role. You will need to be a collaborative and driven individual who will support and lead on the delivery of the subject through inventive approaches including curriculum design and the use of ICT. The

role itself will involve the delivery of History lessons to students in KS3 and KS4, where the department has enjoyed improving GCSE results year on year. Ideal candidates will have strong curriculum knowledge and will ensure that the lessons they deliver are of excellent quality using innovative and engaging approaches, ensuring that the students are having fun whilst making progress!

The school is based in Sheffield, with good public transport links and ample parking is available.
