Overview:

Our partner secondary school located in the Trafford area of Greater Manchester is looking for History teacher to join their Humanities department in September on 10/09/2019. This is a full time History teaching position to fulfil a maternity leave for the duration of the academic year.

The current Humanities department at this small secondary school is only made up of 2 History/Geography teachers and 2 RE specialists. The successfully appointed History teacher will therefore join this supportive close knit team. The whole Humanities team collaborate regularly on resources and share best practice as well as having input of the various schemes of work.

This role would suit a History teacher of any experience level including a newly qualified teacher or one with more experience with the school able to support and put the NQT through their induction.

Job Description & School Information

  • History Teacher of any experience level: more experienced and NQT application encouraged
  • Teach History across KS3 & KS4 with opportunity to teach Geography and RE as applicable based on the successful teacher's specialism and experience
  • Ability to teach innovative and highly engaging History lessons up to GCSE level
  • Trafford based secondary school
  • Pay range: MPS1-UPS3 - £23,720 - £39,406

The school prides itself on providing a positive atmosphere which is conducive to students' learning for all year groups. The Humanities department is made up of subject specialists who are passionate classroom practitioners. The school is therefore looking for a History teacher that can add value to this department as a History specialist and teach engaging lessons up to KS4 level.
