Due to an upcoming need in our client schools Humanities department, there is a need for a History teacher to join them on a full time basis after the Easter break.
- Full time History teacher required
- Easter 2018 start, long term requirement in Humanities department
- Excellent facilities throughout including modern classrooms
- Leadership and management judged to be Good by Ofsted
Our client school is larger than the average secondary school with over 1500 students currently enrol, with the vast majority on roll from the local community. Being very well regarded in the local community, this is a school of choice for a number of parents and students based in East Manchester and Oldham. Since moving to a purpose built site and appointed a new Headteacher, the school has gone from strength to strength and has shown positive progress in their Attainment and Progress 8 score
For the duration of this position, you will be responsible for the delivery of History across both Key Stages, along with the responsibility for planning and marking schemes of work for your groups. The incoming History teacher will join an experienced and innovative department with a track record of excellent results in recent years with students achieving above their expected grades regularly.
The most suitable History teacher will have;
- A PGCE or relevant teaching based qualification specialising in History
- Previous experience working pupils aged 11-16
- A willingness to commit to a long term position from Easter onwards

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
