SEND Teaching Assistant

Full Time – 5 days per week
Long-Term Role – until the end of the academic year
£93 – £100 per day PAYE
8:30am – 3:30pm
A supportive school in Bedford is looking for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant with strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills. Team Teach training is highly desirable but not essential.
Your Responsibilities:
• Support pupils with SEND and challenging behaviour
• Manage behaviour calmly and consistently
• Use effective de-escalation strategies
• Build positive relationships with pupils
• Work closely with teachers and support staff
Essential Job Requirements:
• Experience working with pupils with SEND
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Confident with de-escalation techniques
• Calm, resilient, and consistent approach
• Team Teach trained is desirable, not essential
