Teaching Personnel Dorset is working in partnership with a thriving secondary school in Wimborne to recruit a dedicated and passionate History Teacher for a full-time role starting in September 2025.

About the Role
As a History Teacher, you will:

Deliver engaging and informative lessons in History across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential KS5 depending on experience.

Plan, assess, and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners.

Inspire students to explore historical events, themes, and interpretations critically.

Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.

Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider ethos of the school.

Support extracurricular and enrichment opportunities related to History and the Humanities.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a committed and knowledgeable History teacher who has:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Strong subject knowledge in History.

A passion for bringing the past to life and encouraging historical enquiry.

Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

The ability to inspire and motivate learners across different abilities.
