History Teacher - Rotherham
An over subscribed Secondary School in Rotherham requires a History teacher to begin a maternity cover in April 2017. Academically successful and large in size with over 1200 students on roll this is an excellent opportunity for a History teacher looking for a new and exciting challenge or coming to the end of a current post.
The school consistently achieves above the national averages and this was the same in 2016 with 65% of students achieving at least 5 A*-C grades in their GCSEs. You will be working within a large Humanities department that is well established at the school for its vibrant atmosphere and forward thinking approach to success. The role will consist of tracing history across KS3 and GCSE level.
History teachers interested in this post will need to attend interviews and lesson observations planned by the school. The school welcome applications from newly qualified History teacher or experienced Historians. The school is situated on the outskirts of Rotherham with good transport links from the surrounding areas of Barnsley, Doncaster and Sheffield and is also connivently located on excellent public transport links.
