- Teach KS3 and KS4 History, following the AQA curriculum

- Pay ranging will be in line with new pay-scales: GBP24,373 - GBP40,490 per annum depending on experience
Our client secondary school situated in the South of Manchester is looking to recruit a History teacher to start with them on Monday 6th January 2020. This is an open vacancy within their Humanities department as a result of their second in department having to relocate and giving the school additional notice of their pending and reluctant resignation. The school is an outstanding secondary school with a great reputation in the Manchester area and as result teachers don’t often leave their position at the school. The leadership team is known for being supportive, forward thinking and having a clear and successful vision for the school. The successful Historian will be teaching KS3 and KS4 History following the AQA curriculum.
This full time History teaching position is to fill an open vacancy with the school looking to exercise and recruit the successful teacher of History via a temporary to permanent solution. The successful teacher of History will therefore be paid through Teaching Personnel for the first term and then have the opportunity to progress onto a school based contract.
The school’s Humanities department is relatively large encompassing History, Geography, Religious Education and Citizenship. The successful teacher of History will not be expected to teach any of the other subject specialisms but may from time to time be asked to cover on a general basis within the department.

The school is situated in the South Manchester area making it very easy to access from the city centre via public transport. Those History teachers also living nearby in the Stockport, Wythenshawe, Chorlton, Trafford, Sale and Tameside areas will find the school easy to access. For those History teachers that drive, the school has a large on site car park available for use by all teachers.
