Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Hull
Daily Rate: £110 - £120
Start Date: 3rd January 2019
Are you a qualified History Teacher seeking work for January 2019? Have you experience teaching the secondary National Curriculum?
Teaching Personnel are recruiting a secondary History Teacher to work within a mainstream secondary school in Hull with approximately 1500 students. You will be required to teach History across KS3 - KS4. There is the potential for KS5 for those with suitable qualifications and/or experience. If you have the ability to teach another Humanities subject this is highly desirable.
As you will be new to the school you will undergo training and be enrolled onto an induction programme which is coordinated by the Assistant Headteacher. This will be held before the start of the new term and throughout the term you will attend supported meetings to ensure your needs are met.
To be successful in this role you must therefore have:
- Degree or equivalent in History
- Proven experience teaching history up to GCSE
- PGCE
- Good understanding of a range of teaching and learning strategies
- Commitment to personal development
- Excellent organisational skills
It is desired you have:
- Ability to contribute to extracurricular activities
- Understanding of current KS3 National Curriculum and of GCSE specifications
- Experience of assessment of students progress
The role is to begin January 2019 and is starting as a full-time temporary position until the end of the academic year. For an excellent candidate it is likely that the position will go permanent.
