We’re looking for a confident, proactive, and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join primary school settings where you’ll play a key role in supporting learning, engagement, and progress across the classroom. ✨

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and being an integral part of a school community — supporting pupils, leading learning activities, and working closely with class teachers to help every child reach their potential.

Who Would Suit This Role?

This role is ideal for experienced school professionals who enjoy taking initiative and supporting high-quality teaching and learning. You might be:
‍ An experienced Teaching Assistant ready to step up into an HLTA role
Someone confident in delivering lessons and interventions across the primary curriculum
A strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively with teachers and staff
Passionate about helping children grow academically, socially, and emotionally

As a Primary HLTA, You’ll:

✅ Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
✅ Deliver pre-planned lessons and interventions when required
✅ Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups
✅ Assist with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and resources
✅ Help create a positive, engaging, and well-structured learning environment
✅ Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
✅ Step in to cover classes where appropriate, following set plans

What You’ll Need:

HLTA status or equivalent experience in a primary school setting
️ Strong communication and classroom management skills
Confidence in supporting and delivering learning activities
A calm, organised, and flexible approach
A valid DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
