Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting motivated and adaptable supply teachers to work across Tameside and the surrounding areas, supporting local schools with both short-term and long-term cover. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers who value flexibility and want greater control over their schedule while still making a meaningful impact in the classroom.

As a supply teacher, you’ll step into different school environments, delivering pre-planned lessons and helping pupils stay on track with their learning. Each day will offer something different, so the role suits someone who is confident, organised, and able to quickly settle into new routines. A strong understanding of the national curriculum and prior classroom experience are essential, along with the ability to manage behaviour and maintain a positive, productive atmosphere.

You can choose to work full-time or part-time, updating your weekly availability so we can offer placements that fit your preferences. Teachers are also welcome to specify the year groups they feel most confident teaching.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
