SEN Primary Teacher – Tameside
Location: Tameside
Pay: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time | Long-term (with potential for permanent)

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school in the Tameside area. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a nurturing environment supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.

This role is open to:

  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) / Graduate Teachers
  • Primary Teachers without previous SEN experience who have a strong interest in developing within SEN
  • Experienced teachers looking to transition into a specialist setting

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet a range of learning needs
  • Support pupils with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, communication difficulties and learning needs
  • Create a structured, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, the SENCO and wider staff to support pupil progress
  • Monitor, assess and adapt teaching to support individual development and outcomes
  • Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A positive, patient and flexible approach
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Willingness to learn and develop SEN knowledge and strategies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
