Primary Teacher KS2
Job description
Primary Teacher
Are you a Primary Teacher looking for full-time, long-term work or greater flexibility for a wider variety of teaching experiences? Whether you prefer full-time, part-time, long-term or occasional day-to-day work, we would love to welcome you to our warm and supportive supply team. We work closely with primary schools across Tameside and the surrounding areas, giving you the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to KS2 learners within positive and well-supported school environments.
Location: Tameside
Job Type: KS2
Salary: £130-160 per day
Start date: March 2026
What does the role involve?
As a Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that follow school policies and meet the expectations of the KS2 National Curriculum. You’ll step in for both scheduled and unforeseen staff absences, ensuring continuity of learning for pupils and also be committed to the possibility of long-term work. Strong classroom management will be essential, as you’ll be responsible for fostering a focused and encouraging learning environment. You’ll work across different year groups, adapting quickly to new classes and subject areas. Most of the time, lesson plans will be provided, though you may occasionally be required to plan and deliver your own sessions. The role also involves supporting pupils’ well-being, promoting positive behaviour and maintaining open communication with school staff. Flexibility and commitment is important, as you may receive both in advance bookings, same-morning calls for emergency cover and long-term bookings including PPA, training days, additional support, maternity cover and general absence/sickness cover.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking teachers who hold QTS and have experience teaching within Key Stage 2. Experience in Upper KS2, particularly Year 5 or Year 6, is beneficial—especially for those familiar with SATs preparation—but not essential. The ideal applicant will bring a positive, adaptable approach, strong behaviour management skills and the ability to deliver engaging lessons. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service is required, or you must be willing to obtain one.

We provide ongoing professional development opportunities, competitive pay aligned with your experience and consistent support from your own dedicated recruitment consultant—there to guide you throughout each stage of your placements and career progression.
