Cover Supervisor – Alton – Start ASAP

Ideal for Graduates & Aspiring Teachers | Flexible, Part-Time & Full-Time Work Available

Are you a recent graduate or someone exploring a future career in teaching? Teaching Personnel is working with secondary schools in Alton who are seeking enthusiastic, confident, and adaptable Cover Supervisors to join their teams immediately.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience, develop essential behaviour management skills, and discover whether a career in education is right for you.


The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring learning continues smoothly during teacher absences. Daily responsibilities include:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects
  • Managing behaviour in line with school policies
  • Maintaining a calm, focused, and inclusive learning environment
  • Supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or additional learning requirements
  • Building strong, positive relationships with learners and staff

The Ideal Candidate

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience supporting or working with secondary-aged students
  • Confidence managing a classroom and adapting to new challenges
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
