Cover Supervisor – Basingstoke – Start ASAP

Are you a recent graduate or an aspiring teacher looking to gain invaluable classroom experience? Teaching Personnel is currently supporting secondary schools in Basingstoke who are seeking confident, motivated, and engaging Cover Supervisors to join them immediately.

The Role

In this role, you will support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring their learning continues smoothly in the absence of the class teacher. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Maintaining a positive, safe, and focused learning environment
  • Supporting pupils with SEN or additional needs where required
  • Building positive relationships and acting as a reliable, professional role model

The Ideal Candidate

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience working with young people (schools, tutoring, coaching, youth work, mentoring)
  • Confidence leading a classroom and adapting to new challenges
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
  • An interest in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people’s development and wellbeing
