Have you recently graduated from University and are looking to gain invaluable experience in a Oldham Secondary school before beginning your PGCE course? Do you have a passion for supporting students who find it challenging engaging in lessons?

Our partner Secondary school in Oldham have expressed a need this academic year for graduates to support learning across the curriculum, and cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher. If you are considering completing teacher training in the future, this opportunity is great to develop classroom management skills.

Located near to the M60 and accessible via public transportation links, the larger than average, mixed comprehensive Secondary school has been praised by Ofsted for ‘Good’ leadership and management. By working within the support department, you will receive full guidance from the Heads of Department and SENCO.

This position will give you an insight into effective behaviour management, and engagement strategies that are utilised within Secondary schools. You will also gain an introduction to a number of departments within the school.
