Are you a recent Graduate?
Are you looking for a Teaching Assistant role in a Secondary school?
Teaching Personnel work alongside a large number of Secondary schools in the Salford area who are regularly looking for Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their team. As schools are approaching their new academic year, many schools have last minute requirements for Teaching Assistants due to an unexpected need for extra support in classrooms.
Teaching Assistant roles are the ideal fit for those graduates thinking of going onto a teacher training course but who require additional experience prior to this. These types of roles can also fit around undergraduate candidates who are looking for experience ahead of graduation. This experience will also boost future opportunities for teacher training applications and may result in a direct school placement, depending on success.
- Both part-time and full-time roles available alongside flexible, day to day work.
- Opportunity to work in several Secondary schools across Salford with excellent links to CPD training.
- Earn up to £300 per week, depending on previous experience and the roles and responsibilities involved.
- Support students who require additional support within subjects such as English and Maths.
- Opportunity to work alongside students who have SEN or behavioural difficulties.
- Any experience with children or young people is desirable alongside any transferrable skills to work within the educational sector.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant within our client school, responsibilities will include:
- Working alongside children who require additional support including children learning or behavioural difficulties.
- Working with the class teacher to support the class, as well as helping to cover their absence when needed.
- Working alongside children who require additional support with the possibilities of some students displaying challenging behaviour or having learning difficulties.
- Working 1:1 with identified pupils that require additional support within subjects such as English, Maths or Science.
- Helping to plan and deliver intervention sessions to raise pupil attainment.
- Promoting positive behaviour management.
Our client schools are located in and around the area of Salford and can be accessed via the A580 and M60 from surrounding areas of Greater Manchester such as Bolton and Bury. For non-drivers, schools are accessible via several public transportation links from surrounding areas such as Bolton, Bury and central Manchester.
Graduates of all specialisms are urged to apply for this position. For immediate consideration, please submit a full CV to Megan Knight. To obtain further information, please contact the Manchester West Secondary Office on the contact number provided below;
