Graduate Teaching Assistant – Warrington Secondary Schools
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, ongoing
Salary: £89.44 - £110 per day

Are you a recent graduate considering a future in education? Do you want to gain valuable classroom-based experience before progressing onto teacher training?

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a number of secondary schools across Warrington to recruit Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated support teams from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand school experience in a well-supported environment.

About the Role:

  • Graduate Teaching Assistant – ideal for aspiring teachers
  • Full-time position from September 2025 until the end of the academic year
  • Work in ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ rated Warrington secondary schools
  • Earn up to £1,250 per month
  • Invaluable experience to support a future PGCE or teacher training application
  • Receive mentoring and guidance from experienced teaching staff

The role will involve supporting pupils both one-to-one and in small groups, helping to raise engagement and progress in the classroom. You will work closely with teachers and SENCOs, gaining insight into a wide range of educational practices and behavioural strategies.

  • Sports coaching
  • SEN support work
  • Care roles
  • Or simply those who are passionate about a career in teaching

About the Schools:

Our partner schools are located across Warrington, easily accessible via public transport and major road networks (M62/M6). These schools have a strong emphasis on professional development and offer regular CPD training for all staff. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be part of a welcoming team and report to a supportive SENCO or Head of Department.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
