Are you thinking of a career in teaching?
Would you like to get school based experience to help decide if it's the right path for you?
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants for a number of Future Teacher roles.
We are seeking Graduates that are looking to gain experience in Secondary Schools in Newport, Torfaen, or Blaenau Gwent.
About the Graduate Teaching Assistant Role:
This is a full time role in which you will offer support to the class teacher and support students in lessons.
The pay for this role is between GBP306 - GBP350 weekly pay.
We are seeking Graduates for now, and September intakes!
- Work within your core subject department
- Offer pupils your excellent subject knowledge
- Support pupils from Year 7 – 11
- Excellent support and training from the school
- You will also gain experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs
Who are we looking for?
We are particularly seeking English, Maths, Science and Sports Graduates, but applications are welcomed from all degree subjects!
Prior experience supporting children is desirable, but not essential.
You must be a confident, and motivated individual with a good use of initiative. In this role you will be supported by the school, but it's always good to be able to think on your feet when working with children!
Benefits of working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant:
Teacher training can be very challenging at times, and PGCE drop out rates are unfortunately quite high. Teaching Personnel hope that by giving you paid experience in a school you will go into your PGCE so much more informed, with enhanced learning abilities and knowledge.
You will gain experience in a variety of roles within a school, in particular within your core subject.
This is an opportunity not to be missed.
If you are interested please apply early to avoid disappointment. I look forward to hearing from you.
