There are a number of secondary schools in the Manchester area seeking recent graduates to work in their departments in line with their specialist subject, offering 1:1 and group support to pupils as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for anybody who is considering a career in education and would like to gain further classroom experience before enrolling on a PGCE or similar teacher training programme.

• Full and part time hours available, allowing you to continue to build your experience, even if you are still studying or have other commitments

Whilst working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills and gain valuable experience that you can later utilise in your career.  You will perform a wide variety of roles, supporting the teaching in class as well as helping to raise attainment of pupils through group work and on a 1-to-1 basis. The role will also involve supporting special educational needs, covering classes, assisting with the planning and preparation of lessons as well as developing schemes of work.
