About the Programme

The Future Teachers Programme gives graduates practical experience in schools to help you decide if teaching is the right career path for you. It’s a structured, supportive route into teacher training, providing you with valuable skills and confidence along the way.

The Role: Cover Supervisor

As a Cover Supervisor in a Liverpool secondary school, you will:

• Supervise lessons during teacher absences.
• Support students as they complete pre-set work.
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students remain on task.
• Gain insight into the teaching profession without the responsibility of planning or marking.
