Graduate Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Wigan)

January 2020 – July 2020

Teaching Personnel are working in close partnership with a large, mixed secondary school in Wigan who are looking to support a graduate who is considering a career in secondary teaching!

The secondary school in Wigan are looking to recruit a motivated and dedicated graduate to become a Teaching Assistant with the school from January until July on a full-time basis! This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate who is looking to gain a vast amount of experience as Teaching Assistant in a local secondary school prior to completing teaching training in the future.

Key Aspects of the Graduate Teaching Assistant position:

-          Graduate Teaching Assistant opportunity at a fantastic secondary school in Wigan

-          Full-time role starting ASAP (January to July) – term time

-          Assisting class teachers with lesson planning and preparation and supporting pupils in small groups and on 1:1 who require additional support.

-          Supporting the school with short term absence – opportunity to cover supervise lessons

-          Opportunity to provide tuition in your subject specialism to help raise attainment

-          Earning GBP1140 per month, paid weekly!

-          Working at a supportive and progressive secondary school in Wigan which is part of a reputable educational trust

-          Very accessible from areas of Bolton also

-          Exclusive access to CPD courses and sessions to boost your teaching profile including; a free safeguarding course, effective behaviour management course, Team Teach and free future teacher sessions.

The successful Graduate Teaching will receive a full induction from the school to best prepare you for your new role!

Previous experience working with young people is very desirable as this will strengthen your application and show a true passion for considering a career in teaching.
