Graduate TA- Catholic School in Hammersmith

Date posted : 31/01/19
£60 - £80 per day

Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Have you recently graduated and considering a career in education?

Are you unsure on where in education you see yourself in the future?

Are you looking for hands on experience, support and training to secure a placement in a Primary school? Perhaps you're looking to gain invaluable, career defining experience towards a PGCE or another relevant qualification?

...Then Teaching Personnel's graduate Teaching Assistant scheme may be just what you are looking for! Teaching Personnel have recently secured an arrangement with a number of large Diocese within London; Waltham Forest, Enfield, Barking & Dagenham and Westminster. This agreement sees Teaching Personnel tasked with supplying their staff across the board with a number of vacancies, some currently available include:

  • General TA KS1
  • General TA KS2
  • Early Years Assistant and Nursery Nurse
  • 1:1 additional SEN support

No experience? Not a problem!

  • The Diocese is looking to support inexperienced staff by providing a selection of candidates the relevant experience and training to secure a post in either one of their schools or one of the many other schools which Teaching Personnel is working with. This is through a mixture of CPD, sit down talks with experienced Head Teachers and experience days provided with full feedback and referencing that proves invaluable in securing work!

Not Catholic? Not a problem either!

  • The Diocese are looking for people who can uphold the ethos of the diocese with this being covered in the Head Teacher talk provided in the program
  • Catholic schools are diverse and inclusive; only 41% of the 41,000 pupils in independent Catholic schools were Catholic. Proportions of Catholic teachers were lower: 57% of 44,000 in maintained schools and 40% of 5,000 in independent schools

Why Catholic schools?

  • 'In terms of overall effectiveness, Ofsted judged 73% of Catholic secondary schools to be outstanding or good, compared to 60% of schools nationally. For primary schools, 74% of Catholic schools were judged outstanding or good compared to 66% nationally

This is a fantastic opportunity for eager, determined and hardworking graduates to secure the vital experience needed to specialise in an area of support such as a Learning Support Assistant or to bolster an application for a teaching training program this September.

If you are interested then make sure you apply today!
