Geography Teacher – Lancaster

Full-Time | April 2026 – May 2026
Location: Lancaster
Contract: Full-time, temporary (1 term)

A welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Lancaster is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to cover classes across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 from April 2026 to May 2026.

About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured Geography lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining high standards throughout this short-term cover period. The ideal candidate will be confident, adaptable, and passionate about inspiring students to understand and explore the world around them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons across KS3 & KS4
  • Maintain a positive, purposeful, and well-managed classroom environment
  • Support students’ progress, learning, and engagement
  • Assess student work and provide constructive feedback
  • Uphold school policies and contribute to the wider school community

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience delivering Geography at KS3 & KS4
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons
  • A genuine passion for Geography and supporting student development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
