The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and inspiring Geography Teacher to join our thriving Humanities department. You will play a key role in helping students develop a deep understanding of places, cultures, people, and global issues—encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and respect for the world we share.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and well‑structured Geography lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Plan and adapt lessons to challenge, support, and motivate students of mixed abilities.
• Prepare students for GCSE assessment through high‑quality teaching, feedback, and targeted intervention.
• Contribute to the development of schemes of work within the Humanities department.
• Promote a positive classroom environment that reflects the school’s Catholic ethos and values.
• Participate in fieldwork, enrichment activities, and cross‑curricular projects supporting personal development.

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for Geography and global learning.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• A reflective, proactive approach and commitment to ongoing professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
