Graduate Role – Teaching & Learning Assistant
Role: Additional Needs Teaching Assistant role for Graduates
Hours: Full Time (8:15 – 3:15), Monday to Friday
Included Training: Autism Awareness, Level 2 Safeguarding
Pay: £385/week starting
Location: Cardiff

Teaching Personnel are looking to hire a compassionate and engaging graduate (of any degree subject) to take on an ALN Teaching Assistant role in one of Cardiff’s largest Additional Learning Needs Bases. As a graduate, the experience and knowledge taken from your degree is a huge asset when working with children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and Challenging Behaviour, regardless of what subject you studied.
The students that you work with benefit from emotional and behavioural support in line with their individual learning plans including positive behaviour management and support in accessing the National Curriculum in the best way for them – whether this is through sports, art, music or adapted lessons! You will be joining a team of graduates and experienced Teaching Assistants who are led by a forward thinking and supportive Senior Team. Regular group training and development is an essential part of day-to-day life within the base.
Requirements:
- Degree (or equivalent) in any subject
- Passion for working with young people, and those with Additional Learning Needs
- Enhanced Child Only DBS with Update Service
- EWC Registration

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
