Graduate Graphic Designer

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a secondary school based in Bolton that seeks to appoint a Graduate Graphic Designer in the new academic year. (September 2019)

This is a full-time post on a temporary basis initially, however there is a definite view to this becoming permanent in the near future.

Graduate Graphic Designer

  • Full-time position based within a large secondary school in Bolton
  • Typical earnings of around £350 - £400 per week
  • Required to start in September 2019

"A talented Graduate Graphic Designer is required to join our rapidly growing and reputable school. Formal experience is not necessary however we are looking for a creative edge, an outstanding portfolio of work and good exposure to InDesign and Photoshop. This is a superb opportunity to develop as a graphic designer within an environment that will allow you to be creative and express your own ideas."

Responsibilities;

  • Assist in creating branding, brochures, posters, signage, pop-up stands and logos etc.
  • Liaise with senior leaders and create work based on upcoming events within the school
  • Ensure all artwork produced meets the needs, requirements
  • Assist in the creation of digital design work, including display banners, website mock-ups and infographic

Required skills;

  • Degree or equivalent in graphic or web design preferable
  • Good working knowledge of the whole Adobe Creative Suite
  • A passion for creating stunning visuals
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Up to date knowledge of the latest design trends
  • Creative flair and a good eye for detail
  • Strong portfolio which shows experience with a range of programs and materials

Who will suit this role?

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Junior / Graduate Graphic Designer or an experience Graphic Designer that wishes to wishes to secure a role in an educational environment.

Our client school currently has around 900 students on roll at present which is average when compared with other secondary school in the area. The proportion of pupils from a minority ethnic background is well above average, as is the proportion of boys. The proportion who speak English as an additional language is also well above average.You can find the school on the outskirts of Bolton and easily access it with a short drive from the M61. The school is in an ideal location if you are a user of public transport and can be easily accessed from surrounding areas Bury, Salford Wigan and Manchester.
