Exciting Opportunity: Art Teacher Wanted for September 2024 Start in Yateley Secondary School

Position: Art Teacher Location: Yateley, Hampshire Start Date: September 2024 Contract Type: Full-Time Duration: Longer-Term with Potential for Temp to Perm Transition

About the Role: As an Art Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to nurture students' artistic talents and encourage exploration across Key Stage 3 and 4. From painting and drawing to sculpture and digital media, you'll inspire creativity and self-expression in a supportive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging art lessons tailored to the age and attainment range of students
  • Encourage experimentation and artistic development through a variety of mediums and techniques
  • Provide constructive feedback and support students in refining their artistic skills
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the art curriculum and promote cross-curricular learning opportunities
  • Engage students in extracurricular art activities and exhibitions to showcase their talents

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Strong subject knowledge in art and design
  • Ability to teach across Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Safer Recruitment in Education check required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
