Job Duties:
The Science Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging science lessons to students, maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will also collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders to support student development.
Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and possess a Safeguarding certification. A degree in a related field is preferred.
Education:
A degree in Science or Education is required. Postgraduate qualifications in Education are desirable.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching Science at the secondary school level. Experience working with diverse student populations is advantageous.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated expertise in Science curriculum delivery
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Excellent organisational abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Postgraduate qualifications in Education, experience with exam board specifications, and additional training in special educational needs (SEN) are desirable.
Working Conditions:
The Science Teacher will work in a secondary school setting in South East England. The role involves regular interaction with students, colleagues, and parents. The teacher may need to participate in extracurricular activities and attend professional development sessions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
