Teacher of Geography needed for Nottingham School

Are you a qualified Geography teacher looking for a new and exciting role? If you are an enthusiastic practitioner with great subject knowledge and a commitment to teaching and learning, this could be an ideal position for you.

Our partner secondary school in central Nottingham are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Geography to deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4. This position is initially for one term, on a full time basis, with the prospect of a permanent post for the right candidate.

The secondary school is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and has roughly 700 pupils on roll. Their ethos is centered around preparing every pupil for success, which will be a fundamental principle of each Geography lesson. Located close to the centre of Nottingham, our partner school is close to the A52 and accessible via public transport links.

• Delivering well planned Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4.

• Full time position, initially for one term

• MPS/UPS depending on previous experiences (£22,224-£37,871)

• Working in a supportive Humanities team

The appointed Geography teacher will be involved in planning and delivering lessons to a high level, with the intention of raising attainment within the department. Full support will be given by the Geography department to the successful teacher, and there will be an opportunity to visit the school before the position commences.
