Job description

We are seeking a qualified English Teacher (QTS) for a part-time supply position with an immediate start.

This role involves teaching pupils aged 5–16, delivering engaging and accessible English lessons across a varied age range.

Working hours are 8.30am to 3.30pm, offering a balanced and rewarding working day within a supportive educational environment.

Leadership is approachable and supportive, and staff work closely together to ensure pupils feel safe, motivated and able to achieve their best.

 

The Role Responsibilities

As a Supply English Teacher, you will plan and deliver meaningful lessons, adapt materials to meet individual learning styles and create a positive classroom environment.

You will support pupils’ literacy development while fostering confidence, communication skills and a love of learning.

 

Requirements

Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have a minimum of 6 months’ childcare experience, particularly supporting children with SEN needs.

You should be adaptable, patient and confident managing a classroom across primary and secondary ages. Due to the location of the school, the ability to drive is essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
