English Teacher – Full Time

Location: Christchurch
Start Date: January 2026

A well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Christchurch is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic qualified English Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring educator to teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 English within a supportive and forward-thinking department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons that support students of all abilities to make strong academic progress. They will demonstrate a strong subject knowledge, effective classroom management skills, and a commitment to creating a positive learning environment where students can thrive.

The school prides itself on its inclusive culture, high expectations, and strong sense of community. The appointed teacher will be joining a collaborative team of staff who work together to enrich students’ educational experience and foster a love of learning.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold UK QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Have experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Be committed to raising achievement and supporting student development

  • Bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a passion for English literature and language

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
