Geography teacher - Tameside

• Full time post to the end of the academic year initially
• Pay ranging from £95-£150 per day

Large Secondary School in Tameside require a Geography teacher to commence a full time post after a recent unexpected departure in the Humanities department.

With over 1000 student son roll this is a full time Geography teaching position to the end of the academic year with the potential to carry on in September. You will have experience teaching Geography across KS3 and GCSE level as well as a proven track record of raising student attainment.

The school achieved a Good grading in all areas in their 2015 Ofsted report. Due to its catchment area the school has a large percentage of student’s eligible for free school meals at 48%. The school are looking to appoint the successful Geographer as soon as possible to fill the recent vacancy.

Currently the school achieves below national averages with 44% of students achieving 5 A*-C grades. This is an excellent opportunity for a Geography NQT or recently qualified teacher looking for their next long term position.
