Geography Teacher - Nottingham - Temporary Position

A diverse and vibrant secondary academy on the west side of Nottingham city centre are looking to appoint a full time Geography Teacher starting on Monday 8th March.

This advert is for a temporary vacancy that has opened in a Nottingham based mixed academy and is until the end of the academic year, but there is the opportunity for the role to become permanent at the beginning of the academic year.

The successful candidate will teach geography to students across years 7-11, working in a secondary academy committed to providing a high quality of education. The school prides itself on offering a progressive curriculum designed to give students the best academic experience possible, whilst also developing key life skills. Candidates successful with their application will be joining a supportive and welcoming Humanities department including three Geography teachers which will allow for a smooth transition into teaching at this school.

The Academy:

The academy itself currently has an Ofsted report rating of ‘Requires Improvement’ and is currently focusing hard to raise student attainment. The successful candidate will need to play their part in raising attainment amongst students by employing high standards for themselves and the students they’re made responsible for, ensuring results do not remain below the Progress 8 scores.

Located not far outside the centre of Nottingham this academy offers accessibility both for candidates who drive and those who don’t. Candidates utilising public transport should note that you can take either the pink or orange bus routes from Nottingham city centre.
