- Using structured, evidence-based approaches to support learning and communication.
- Helping pupils navigate daily routines, transitions and social situations.
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and families to deliver consistent support.
- Celebrating progress, however it looks, every single day.
Who we're looking for:
- Experience supporting pupils with autism in a school or care setting.
- Knowledge of autism-specific approaches such as PECS, Makaton or TEACCH is desirable.
- A calm, consistent and nurturing approach.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with pupils and colleagues.
- Relevant qualifications welcomed, but transferable experience is equally valued.
What Teaching Personnel offers:
- Competitive weekly pay via PAYE. Annual Salary of £23,175 per annum after completing a probationary period.
- Specialist SEN training and ongoing professional development.
- Local placements across West Sussex.
- Dedicated consultant support from your first day onwards.
