Teaching Assistant – SEND Resourced Provision (Primary)

Location: Basingstoke
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full Time, Temporary (expected until July 2027)
Pay: £92.63 per day

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Autism (SEND)?

We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Basingstoke for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their specialist Resourced Provision from September 2026.

This is a full-time, temporary position, expected to continue until July 2027, with the potential for a permanent role for the right educator.

Working within the school's Resourced Provision, you will support primary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop independence, and achieve their individual goals in a nurturing and supportive environment.

The role will involve:

  • Supporting children with SEND both in the Resourced Provision and, where appropriate, within mainstream classrooms.
  • Delivering tailored interventions and adapting learning activities to meet individual needs.
  • Promoting pupils' communication, social, emotional and academic development.
  • Working closely with teachers, SEND professionals and families to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
  • Creating a positive, safe and engaging learning environment.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children, ideally within a primary school or SEND setting.
  • Is patient, compassionate and committed to supporting every child's potential.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
  • Is reliable, proactive and enthusiastic about inclusive education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
