- Teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4
An exciting position has recently become available at a secondary school located in Derbyshire. This Geography Teacher post requires a progressive and talented individual with QTS or who is a NQT and is ready and excited to start making an impact in a new environment.
The successful candidate must be capable of delivering high-quality humanities lessons at secondary level and specialist knowledge in geography and history would be an advantage.
This post requires a determined Geography Teacher who can demonstrate a first class understanding of the national curriculum. The school is hoping for a teacher who is able to keep all their pupils engaged in the lesson, provide different methods of learning to suit all abilities, have a proven track record of teaching through to GCSE level and is able to manage pupil behaviour effectively.
The ideal candidate will:
• Have up to date knowledge of teaching techniques and learning styles, especially in main subject specialism
• Actively keep up to date with subject knowledge
• Take into account any relevant curriculum developments in other related areas
• Have up to date knowledge and implements national strategies and the college’s professional development of teachers

The ideal candidate will have a high level of organisational ability coupled with superb interpersonal and social skills.
