Geography NQT - Camden

Work basis: Full time, Permanent

Salary: GBP24,550-GBP32,750 per annum

Teaching Personnel are currently in close partnership with an Academy Trust who proudly boast a 'Good' Ofsted rating in all 4 categories from an observation in June 2016. The main site of the Trust is a mixed 11-19 year old student Academy that is situated in the heart of Camden. The school offers iconic state-of-the-art facilities, training and development opportunities and the chance to work with the latest innovations in classroom technology. This Academy is now looking to hire an outstanding Newly Qualified Geography Teacher to join the humanities department. Whilst in this role you will be given the opportunity to further develop as a teacher and receive guidance along the way.

About the Department

Teaching within the Humanities Faculty (History, Geography and RE) you will help seek to broaden a learner’s understanding of the world, at all levels within the Academy, while facilitating their development as whole people and furnishing them with vital lifelong learning attributes and capacities. The Faculty strives to push forward teaching and learning innovations particularly within the field of Open Space teaching and learning, the use of ICT for Learning, development of literacy and AFL skills.

Alongside this amazing teaching opportunity Teaching Personnel are also committed to supporting Newly Qualified Teachers on their journey. Upon joining Teaching Personnel and our client school NQTs will be enrolled onto our Teaching Personnel NQT Pool Scheme. Newly Qualified Teachers within this pool will receive free access to six online support packs provided by our sister company Best Practice Network.

Each pack contains six hours of content aligned to both the Teacher Standards and Early Career Framework and are designed to support the practice of Teachers.

  • Pedagogy and Practice

This supports your classroom practice and helps you promote pupil progress by applying an understanding of the way children learn.

  • Assessment

This supports the use of effective and appropriate methods of assessment to promote pupil progress and improve outcomes.

  • Behaviour

This supports your behaviour management helping you to set high expectations and create a supportive learning environment for all pupils.

  • Special Educational Needs

This pack will help to develop inclusive practice to support all pupils effectively including those with special educational needs.

  • Professional Behaviours

This pack supports in fulfilling wider school responsibilities as you develop effective professional relationships with parents and colleagues.
