GENERAL TEACHING ASSISTANT
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who would love to work closer to home? If so, Teaching Personnel are currently looking for teaching assistants who are looking for both short and long term work in the Borough of Barnet. Individuals who are intrigued in this position should have a natural passion for working with children in a school based environment and supporting pupils in the classroom.
Working with us:
You will have the opportunity to work in a variety of primary schools in your local area before settling into a long term role if you wish or continue to supply if it suits your needs better. The schools that we work with are committed on delivering a high standard of teaching, where pupils' are supported every step of the way throughout their school journey. Additionally, teachers and teaching assistants are to ensure that from the very first day of a child joining the school, they are given every opportunity to; succeed, develop character and cultivate a love for learning. This can be achieved by regularly providing lessons which are both fun and engaging to students. A keen emphasis is placed on providing all staff with a work life balance which is essential in keeping everyone happy and continuous support from the SLT team who operate with an open door policy.
The Role:
As a general teaching assistant your role will be to support the classroom teacher and also children with differing learning abilities and capabilities. The candidates we are looking for will be someone who has worked with children previously and is willing to go the extra mile to ensure that all safeguarding policies are adhered to.
Competencies:
Teaching Assistants who are looking for a career change or a new opportunity:
- Ideally have a Degree or Teaching Assistant Qualification
- Passionate about teaching for young children
- Looking for a new opportunity
- Minimum six months experience working with children at various age groups
- Team player
