Full time role for September for a teacher of Science (newly qualified teachers considered) in a school in located near the centre of Derby. If you are a Science teacher with great subject knowledge and a commitment to your subject this could be a great position for you.
The school are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Chemistry to deliver a diverse range of lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This position is initially for the first term, on a full time basis, with the prospect of this being extended to the rest of the academic year.
You must have a genuine passion to support students in their leaning journey and be dedicated to the overall welfare of the school by committing to raising attainment through quality teaching and learning.
The school is average in size with around 1000 pupils on roll. The vast majority of children are of white British heritage and the number of pupils with learning difficulties or a statement for special needs is below the national average.
The appointed Science teacher will be involved in planning, delivering and assessing lessons to a high level, with the intention of raising attainment within the department. Full support will be given by the Science department to the successful teacher, and there will be an opportunity to visit the school before the position commences in June.
• Delivering well planned Science lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Full time position, initially for one term
• MPS/UPS depending on previous experiences (£22,224-£37,871)
• Working in a supportive Science team
